Organizational Structure
The Laboratory staunchly upholds and strengthens the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and operates under the director’s responsibility system, guided by the Council, which functions as the highest decision-making authority. Under the leadership of the CPC Organization, the Council consistently acts as a crucial bastion and political nucleus. A general branch and branches of the State Key Laboratory have been formed, with a current membership of 72 party members. The Laboratory Director oversees the overall development of the Laboratory, while the Academic Committee provides guidance and makes decisions regarding scientific research areas.
